Catalog Truth

Privacy

Catalog Truth stores daily counts only: page views, scans, and clicks on "I'd use one-click fixes". It keeps a scan result for 30 minutes so a refresh doesn't re-scan, then forgets it. It stores no names, emails or cookies. To limit abuse, it counts scans per connection (by IP address) for one hour, then discards that count. Store addresses are kept only inside that 30-minute result.

The Shopify app

The Catalog Truth app asks Shopify only for permission to read products (read_products). Each time you open it, Shopify gives it a short-lived access token, which it uses to read your newest active products (titles, prices, barcodes, images) and then discards. It never changes your store and reads no customer or order data. Like the website, it keeps the report for 30 minutes and counts checks per day. When you uninstall the app, or Shopify sends a request to erase a store's or a customer's data, there is nothing stored to delete beyond that 30-minute report, which then expires.
